Peter Doughty
Peter has a track record of creating opportunities and new businesses, from concept through early-stage financing and management to growth.
He has particular expertise in the high-tech sector. During a long career with Hewlett Packard Peter formed and led a series of sales teams which forged very successful new channels in developing markets across Europe.
As worldwide storage marketing manager he laid out the product and technology ‘roadmaps’ for the business, leading a 400-strong global sales team to dominate this market. In 2001 Peter became the COO of iXimaging plc, which specialises in medical and industrial imaging, where he refocused the business and secured partners including GE, Phillips, Siemens and Toshiba.
Peter subsequently founded his own semi-conductor based business, raising over $12 million over four years and securing 10 product patents.
In the last two years Peter has also established Element8, which has created a software service that allows the staff of large enterprises to work collaboratively towards a common set of goals and standards, particularly during periods of significant change.
